From our garden and nursury in the heart of the Brecon Beacons husband and wife team Amy and Simon Mackenzie-Mason produce a range of interesting and unusual edible plants. Our plants provide the basis to create a delicious selection of seasonal infused vinegars,oils, syrups and other condiments.
The main ingredients of all of our products are grown by us without the use of chemical pesticides or fertilisers. All other ingredients are sourced locally wherever possible.
Vinegars; Our vinegars taste great on their own and can be used on salads without adding oil, making them a fat free alternative. They can be used in many ways, for instance, as a really flavourful base for a homemade mayonnaise or simply deglazing a roasting pan for a richer tasting jus.
Shrubs/Cordials; Add a couple of tablespoons to carbonated water, ice tea and lemonades for a refreshing drink. Be your own mixologist by adding to cocktails or mocktails.
Syrups; Dilute to make jellies and drinks, or use as a sauce and ice cream, milk puddings, fruit fools, blancmanges, fruit salads and steamed or baked puddings. or try it on porridge or yogurt for breakfast.
Fresh Seasonal Pestos; Our fresh delicious pestos are the perfect idea for a dinner party, picnic, snack or just a night in with good company. They are versatile, you can use them as a pasta pesto, dip or cooking ingredient.
|Fresh Seasonal Dips; Fantastic sharing food and great for getting a party going, but there’s so much more to dips than just dipping. You can dollup them on the side with kebabs, make brushchetta, drizzle over griddled fish, or just get the toasted pittas or crudites out.|
