I love farming; it’s in my blood you could say, though previous generations of the family at Hook Farm were mainly dairy farmers. We’re inland, three miles down from the Preseli Mountains, and it’s a few degrees colder here than on the coast. We grow brassicas with Puffin — around 50 hectares of savoy cabbage and cauliflower, which we’ve grown for 20 years, and a few daffs.

We’re quite unusual in that we raise all our own brassicas from seed to plate. We’ve been in partnership with Puffin for over 12 years and enjoy being part of the team, they’re down to earth and dynamic, so together we’re going from strength to strength.

I love farming and can’t imagine doing anything else. Or anywhere else, really. It’s a friendly community round here.
