Plants

All our plants have been carefully selected to ensure that they are amongst the most attractive to bees; we grow and observe each variety before we offer them for sale. And of course they are all grown organically and are peat and pesticide free!

We sell our plants in trays of 6 plants and each tray is enough to fill 1+ square meters of ground area. All plants are ready to go straight into the ground and we recommend planting in blocks of 3s or 5s as a big block is more efficient for the bees. We grow more stock throughout the season so if we are out of something please check back later or add yourself to the ‘waitlists’.

Sorry we only deliver to mainland UK and Northern Ireland. Please note we deliver by courier.

Our product is designed around the bees. This means that:

We only sell plants that we really do attract bees. We know this because we grow the plants and count how many bees come to them

We sell in multi-plant trays, of 6s to encourage you to plant in blocks as this is also more attractive to the bees (more efficient foraging)

All our small plants are big and hardy enough to go strainght into the ground with no need to pot them on first

All our plants are grown in peat-free compost with no use of any pesticides.

Our plant trays are white plastic made from recycled fridges and are fully recyclable.

Each tray of 6 plants will each cover at least 1 square meter

The root balls of our plants are 8cm x 7cm

All our plants are very hardy; grown with miniumal heat or additional feeds (like you would if you grew them yourself) so are ready to plant straight away and should grow-on quickly.

We pack our plants in specially designed boxed to make sure they reach you safely by courier

Research

At rosybee we supply plants that we are certain will be good for bees because we have grown them and observed how many bees they attract. As part of this research process we capture data and conduct further research. In the following sections we share some of this research.
