The Star is special because…

We’re a Camra award-winning pub in a beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park village and our pub garden is right next to the gorgeous Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal. What more could you want?

Star Inn

We’ve got an ever-changing choice of real ale with B&B accommodation upstairs if you fancy staying. Oh yes, and you’ll receive a warm welcome from landlords Ian and Anna Bell too!

Our food is a cut above pub grub and we use locally-sourced ingredients wherever possible. Just don’t forget to book as we get pretty busy, especially on weekends and during our popular live music events.

You’ll find us a mere six miles from Brecon and 14 miles from Abergavenny.

Croeso, gobeithiwn y byddwch chi’n mwynhau’r awyrgylch ymlaciol, bwyd o ffynonellau lleol a chwrw casgen lleol yn y Star Inn, yma yng nghalon Parc Cenedlaethol Bannau Brycheiniog.

We pride ourselves on serving quality food at reasonable prices at the Star Inn. We source as many of our ingredients as possible from local suppliers, including venison from a farm less than two miles away and faggots made in nearby Brecon.

Children deserve to eat well too!

Bring the kids along (we’ve got kids too so we’re family-friendly!) and get them to try our children’s menu. It’s not all chips, chips, chips – they can have a mini roast or bubble and squeak with gravy instead. Lucky them!

Would you like a pint with your meal, Sir?

Why not choose one of wide selection of real ales to complement your choice of food? Ask at the bar for a taster if you’re not sure which one to try!

Come along to one of our special food nights!

Autumn is the time for Pie Night and Fish Night and both back on the menu at the Star. Why not try a pie straight from our oven and wash it down with some real ale or local apple juice? Don’t forget to book – Fish Night especially gets very busy!

• Pie Night is every Tuesday • Fish Night is every Friday
For a warming autumn lunch try our cawl.
